SkyShark non-tapered wrapped carbon tubing are made to be very strong , with a thicker wall than other wrapped tubes allowing you to cut and ferrule anywhere on the tube.

Third Coast Kite and Hobby always wants to keep you informed of developments in SkyShark products. Here are some recent developments:

The P90 thru P400 SkyShark tubes are being upgraded to the X series, for example, the new P2X. These new tubes are 15-20% stiffer due to the use of a higher modulus carbon, are about .5 gram heavier and exhibit a woven diamond pattern. During this evolution, we're doing all we can to maintain a stock of the original series tubes but eventually our inventory will be fully transitioned to the new improved design.

P200's are now out of production as well, having been replaced by the improved P2X. It's almost as light at 15.4 grams and is 15-20% stiffer than the P200 that it replaced. Dimensions are the same.

The P450 tubes are a new temporary offering by our supplier and will have limited availability going forward. At 23.8 grams, these tubes are stronger and stiffer than the similar but superseded P400, being .306" outside diameter versus the P400's .300" OD. Surface is sanded lightly with an underlying wrapped appearance that is a slightly lighter gray than the superseded P400 or similar tube. These should be a great performer for discriminating users.

Our wrapped carbon tubes are sold at set lengths.

In the "Options" area, first select the diameter of tube you want (some tubes may come in multiple lengths).

After you have selected the diameter and length of tube you want, enter the quantity.

If you would like your tubes custom cut to a specific length, select the "Custom Cut" option and tell us the specific length you need your tubes in the "Special Instructions" area at checkout.
